Title: Sales Team Leader
Directly Reports To: Associate Store Manager
Titles of Direct Reports: Sales Associate, Customer Service Desk Associate
A. Purpose of the Job
Responsible to lead the day to day selling activities of sales team in assigned department. Provide coaching
and guidance to sales team to ensure achievement of daily sales goals for assigned department.
B. Job Description
-Major Responsibilities
1. Act as a role model of a ‘Sales obsessed culture’, including coaching and training of associates to ensure
achievement of daily sales goals. Lead and monitor the selling behaviours of all staff reporting. Coach
team on selling behaviours with the intent to instinctively sell to every customer to achieve daily sales
goals. Identify selling skills gaps, provide necessary selling skills training, monitor and follow up to
ensure all customers are engaged with the intent to sell.
2. Accountable for profitable sales growth within assigned category through effective coaching of selling
skills.
3. Consistently demonstrate selling focus through Visible Leader program.
4. Responsible to maintain selling floor with a focus on the eyes of the customer. Communicate and
collaborate with store team to make any necessary revisions to ensure sales floor meets customer
expectation and promotes a selling environment.
5. Schedule staff reporting based on business needs and within assigned budget.
6. Participate in inventory taking as required. Responsible to ensure accurate inventory taking including
ongoing maintenance of sales floor, accurate ticketing and verification of promotional signing. Escalate
potential inventory and signing concerns to the appropriate team to minimize inventory shrinkage risks
and gaps in customer experience. Ensure in-stock of key items.
7. Perform other duties as required.
