BCMP /Omicron is an integrated Architectural, Interior Design, Engineering and Construction firm dedicated to providing total building solutions for our clients. We provide innovative, functional, design/build solutions to the commercial, institutional, retail and light industrial markets.

The Technical Support Specialist will provide day to day support to the IT Manager on the Windows Active Directory Server Environment and handle hardware and software requirements to support a 200+ sized firm with multiple locations and requirements.

The successful candidate must:

- Be able to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Be calm in high-pressure situations
- Be able to coordinate time-sensitive tasks
- Be resourceful, accurate and detail oriented
- Have excellent documentation skills
- Have outstanding trouble shooting skills
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
- Be available to work on call, unusual hours or extended shifts when necessary
- Be able to take responsibility and complete work with minimal supervision
- Be comfortable working with a diverse group of individuals at all levels
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Be confident, energetic and value laughter in the workplace

Job Duties:
- Provide day-to-day support to the IT Manager (60% Desktop Support and 40% Server Administration)
- Assist with installation, testing, monitoring and maintenance of corporate-wide information technology systems.
- Responds to telephone calls, emails and personnel requests for technical support from the staff
- Install, test and troubleshoot computer hardware and software
- Provide end user training
- Provide end user desktop support to employees
- Set-up desktops, notebooks, Blackberries, PDAs, phones and other technology equipment
- Identify, research, and resolve technical problems
- Support company telephone system, Audio/Visual equipment, MFPs and other technology equipment
- Maintain hardware and software inventory

Required Experience and Education:
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP/Vista operating systems and standard desktop applications
- Experience with the following:
- Microsoft Windows XP/Vista
- Microsoft Office 2003/2007
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Blackberry Enterprise Server
- Symantec Anti-virus
- TCP/IP, DNS, WINS
- VPN

- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills are a must
- Graduate of technical school with University degree, IT diploma or certificate
- MCP, MCSA, MCDBA, MCSE certification is considered an asset
