Wonderware Pacwest Corporate Office is located in Bothell, WA.. We are looking for a highly Technical Support Engineer to join our Tech Team in providing technical support via phone and/or email.. We currently have presence in WA, OR, ID, N. Nevada and most of Canada. Our culture is positive, high energy, team oriented and very sales driven.
Application Support Engineer Functions - (Primary)
• Provide technical support assistance and case-related research over the phone and/or via email to customers and users of the products and services offered by Wonderware PacWest
• Provide formal or informal in-house and on-site product training and application consulting for customers and users of the products and services offered by Wonderware PacWest.
• Attend vendor product training to achieve certification level required by the vendor for the products and services offered by Wonderware PacWest.
• Understand vendor knowledge base, product features, licensing and general applications, and share new information with team members.
• Support and perform established policies, procedures, standards and quality control processes to assure responsive support, training and application consulting capabilities.
• Acquire and maintain Wonderware and 3rd party certifications as needed to maintain level of product knowledge required to provide technical support
• Meet individual and group performance goals related to technical support and customer training
• Proactively respond to common support requests by providing written technical notes
Required Personal Characteristics
• Proven ability to work well with people and handle a variety of items simultaneously.
• Independent worker that blends easily into a team environment.
• Extremely detail oriented, self-motivated and a self-starter, neat and orderly.
• Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is required. Extensive applicable experience may be substituted for the required education.
• Must have a strong analytical ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Must possess the ability to coordinate a variety of projects and activities simultaneously without losing control, poise, or professionalism. And the ability to remain calm and detached during an escalated issue.
• Must have a thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows and related technologies. Experience with PLC hardware and programming, HMI/SCADA software or any other industrial automation software, SQL databases, firewall configuration, network connections/troubleshooting, hardware and software configuration, Internet and other communication protocols is preferred.
Training and Certification will be provided to all employees
