JOB SUMMARY
This packaging customer service role will sit on-site with one of Schawk’s clients, a major retailer. This position is responsible providing support to the client in coordinating the workflow of a number of packaging design and production projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide customer service including anticipating customer needs, answering and solving client queries
- Liaise with client, printers, designers, vendors, account managers to obtain accurate information on all projects and follow up
- Assess material received from designer, account manager and client to ensure accurate information of design files, layouts and specifications
- Communicate with vendors and printers to determine print specifications
- Create document showing project costs and forward to client for circulation with vendor
- Prioritize work to meet timelines
- Track and communicate project status to account manager, designer and client in weekly project status meetings
- Manage circulation approval of client proofs and/or digital files
- Filing and recording of all packaging samples received for all projects
- Use of (BLUE) Schawks internal workflow management tool on a daily basis for reviewing all artwork, comments, running of reports and data entry of all projects
- Provide system support and on site training utilizing Schawks internal digital workflow management tool (BLUE) for client employees
- Proof and circulate any client art, consolidate any amendments required and ensure approvals are received from all parties, ensure any regulatory certification is obtained if applicable
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
- Completion of post secondary university or college degree, preferably in graphics communication management and/or design or similar
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a graphic arts packaging environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Positive Attitude
- Team player with “Can Do” approach
