The Position
We are currently seeking a Product Manager for the Sales & Account Management team. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Account Management you will be an enthusiastic self starter who feels the urgency of growing AbeBooks business. You will be responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: defining the product vision, designing the strategies and tactics to achieve goals, supervising the creation of a strong, adaptable framework; and working closely with engineering, and the rest of the technical team to maximize revenue and ensure the completion of the goals and objectives. You will be comfortable dealing with everyone from frontline staff to senior executives, and can thrive in a dynamic, technical, e-commerce environment.
The position will be responsible for all Bookseller facing products on AbeBooks including (but not limited to) inventory, order processing, & image management tools, including Homebase, AbeBooks free downloadable inventory management program.

Your Responsibilities
• Define the product strategy and roadmap for a defined set of products and oversee their implementation. This includes improvements to existing products as well as recommending new products.
• Ensure our booksellers are using the right tools and applying best practices.
• Attend industry events, build knowledge and become a subject matter expert in our business, our booksellers and the products they use to list and sell on AbeBooks.
• Account Manage select Key Accounts to better understand their individual business models, & needs and through that drive product improvements
• Oversee AbeBooks' Bookseller communication and incentive strategies with a focus on product adoption and use of best practices
• Propose and develop a reliable, efficient and actionable set of KPIs to measure the success of your products
• Be on top of current technologies and new developments relative to the competition
• Collaborate with Amazon where relevant to take advantage of potential synergies
Your Profile:
• Minimum 3 years experience in positions of increasing responsibility with a focus on Product Management and/or Business Development.
• You like to be measured and understand the importance of measuring performance in all areas of the business.
• You are able to evaluate facts, data and information effectively allowing you to draw logical conclusions decisively.
• You must have strong product management skills with superior organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritize and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
• Must be highly motivated and ambitious with an entrepreneurial attitude
• Ideal candidate is highly analytical with a strong quantitative background
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Master's degree a plus.
• Working knowledge of SQL is a plus
• Experience in ecommerce is a plus
• Willingness to travel (3-5 events/year)
