Westwind Weekly News invites applications for the position of a:
Reporter/Writer - Full Time
Westwind Weekly News is a growing independently owned weekly newspaper covering the communities of Raymond, Magrath and Stirling, Alberta, just south of Lethbridge.
This position involves reporting and feature writing within the paper’s distribution area.
Potential for increased responsibilities for the correct individual.
This position requires:
- Graduate of a journalism program
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy using CP writing style
- Must have excellent social and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to meet deadlines
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be flexible
- Willing to become involved in the communities
- Knowledge in photography
Computer skills required:
Able to do page layout with InDesign (CS3) in a Mac oriented environment
Compensation will be based on experience and ability.
Position to commence immediately.
Competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
