IT Coordinator/Sys Admin (Tumbler Ridge, BC)

Our Vancouver based company with properties in Northeastern British Columbia, is currently looking for an IT Coordinator for its mine site near Tumbler Ridge, B.C. In this critical role, you will be primarily responsible to handle tier 1 through tier 3 support for the site’s infrastructure and end user community. This role will take you though everything from application installation and support on desktops through to back end server and infrastructure maintenance and projects.
This is a remote location in Northern B.C (Tumbler Ridge)., and relocation is provided for this role.
IT Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support for on site staff
- Ensure availability of IT systems through monitoring, maintenance and testing in a proactive nature.
- Maintain detailed documentation for all IT processes
- Maintain a Windows server 2003 environment
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Information Technology Management and 2 – 3 years related experience or equivalent.
- Excellent technical skills with a variety of technologies
- MS Windows (desktop and server), MS Office administration experience
- Network troubleshooting and maintenance skills
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Also any Linux experience and ability to create and maintain web pages would be an asset.
