IRM Systems is an established software company which offers a specialized vertical software product to clients throughout North America. We are just finishing the "ground up" rewrite of our application using .NET and SQL Server to complete its migration from the client server environment to a complete web based software service . We have worked hard in the past year to reengineer our company to take advantage of the opportunities presented to Software as a Service (SaaS) vendors who are disciplined and focused on the needs of the client base.
As a member of our development team you will play a significant role in achieving our objective by focusing on the ease of use by making the software "smarter" and more accepting of a new user. This opportunity will appeal to someone looking to play a meaningful role in presenting a new and fresh alternative to our existing clients and the tens of thousands of organizations who are looking for a different approach.
It is not acceptable to us that full featured software must be hard to use and require copious amounts of training due to its complexity.
Responsibilities
• Working with senior IRM staff to initially conceptualize and then document your next project.
• Estimate the development time for each component of your project.
• When required, participate in the presentation of your project to sales and support staff to validate and clarify your project.
• Develop your project with direct control over the time line.
• Test your work looking for common usability and functionality issues.
• Work with a customer support team member test and to correct any issues in your project.
• When required, participate in the presentation of your project to ensure strong internal understanding of your work within the company.

• A proven track record of working on your own or as a member of a team.

Qualifications & Education
• 3+ years experience in application development.
• 2+ years developing software in C#.
• 2+ years developing in ASP/ASP.Net.
• 2+ years experience with AJAX and JavaScript.
• 2+ years using SQL and SQL Server or like product (Oracle, Sybase, mySQL, etc.).
• Crystal Reports development experience is an asset.
• Solid understanding of database design.
• Experience development and working with web services - SOAP, WSDL, UDDI.
• Appropriate post secondary education.
• Industry recognized developer certifications would be an asset.
• Familiar with Visual Studio 2005 or 2008.
• Experience working on projects managed by Visual Source Safe.
