Position Summary:
The Integrations Developer will develop a number of integrations based products. As a key component of the Elluminate Software Development team, the integrations development group has the responsibility for developing and modifying web applications and integrations that are sold as either an ASP service or as a local installation product.
Responsibilities:
The well-rounded intermediate to senior software developer with 6 or more years of experience will be responsible for designing and implementing web-based applications including the creation and utilization of web services. The software developer will develop web-based applications in an OO background using Java based toolset including JSP, applets, and servlets. The developer will also be responsible for working with the presentation layer, business logic, and database layers of web applications.
Requirements:
•Strong Educational background in software development (minimum BSc.(CS) or equivalent).
•6+ years experience as a web application designer/developer
•Experience with Microsoft .NET (C# and ASP.NET).
•Strong Java development background
•Experience working with other development languages (PHP, JavaScript).
•Proficient in working on various OS platforms: Windows, Mac, Solaris, Linux.
•Proficient in developing for various browsers: IE, Netscape, Fire fox, etc.
•Strong understanding of networking concepts as well as firewalls and proxies.
•Experience with web server technologies: Apache, IIS, Tomcat.
•Experience with enterprise class web development technologies.
•Experience with web services and related technologies.
•Strong understanding of SQL database technologies.
•Very strong interpersonal skills.
•Understanding of e-learning space or interest in it.
•Enthusiastic, willing to work on a team, and willing to work with customers.
Technical Environment:
Desktops
Normal business operations will be with Windows XP and MS Office with Eclipse, SVN, Hudson/Maven/Ant, and JIRA development tools. Other tools are used as needed by individual projects.
Software Technology:
Software technology includes: Java (including JSP, applets, and servlets, and JDBC), PHP, C#, HTML/JavaScript and XML, Tomcat, Apache, IIS, in both Linux and Windows based environments.
