Activities Coordinator (HI-Banff Alpine Centre)

The opportunity to join our team as Activities Coordinator at HI-Banff Alpine Centre is a permanent, full-time hourly position.
Reporting to the General Manager at HI-Banff, the Activities Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, organization, promotion and delivery of activities and programs in and around the Banff Alpine Centre. As the Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for expanding our network of promotional partners around town and t ensuring they feel appreciated for their efforts. Main activities include our in-house movie night, pub crawls and guided hikes in Banff National Park, as well as the organization and staffing of our Ice Wall.
Successful candidates will have previous tour operator or event planning experience, excellent communication skills and a knack for getting people involved.
This position is available March 15, 2010. The Starting wage is $11.55/hour; on-site subsidized housing is available.
