Lodge Attendant (Priddis, AB)

Through the Kerith Creek renewal and retreat centre, Focus on the Family Canada aims to fulfill its mission to strengthen families by providing a place of care and renewal for pastors, missionaries and others in vocational ministry. In our seven-day retreats, guests receive rest, teaching and personal coaching.
We are looking for a self-starter with an eye for detail to take over the housekeeping and general upkeep of the main lodge, which has five small suites and a number of group-use areas. This role will take approximately 40 hours per month, with a varied schedule.
Responsibilities include:
• Post-retreat cleanup: vacuuming, dusting, making beds, doing laundry, etc.
• Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and kitchenettes
• Maintaining cleaning supplies
• For the right candidate, this role has the possibility of expanded responsibilities
As the ideal candidate, you will have two years’ experience in a comparable role, preferably in the hospitality industry. Your eye for detail motivates you to maintain a high level of cleanliness in your surroundings. You can provide your own reliable transportation and are able to perform physically demanding tasks. As a self-starter who thrives in an unsupervised work environment, you also have the flexibility to work a varied schedule. Success in this position is dependent upon a passion to minister to the practical needs of couples and ministry workers seeking rest and renewal.
