COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE PARALEGAL REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY (CALGARY, AB)

Paralegal – Commercial Real Estate
The Calgary office of one of Canada's largest law firms, is seeking a Paralegal in their Commercial Real Estate practice group to work with a Senior Partner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drafting documents for commercial real estate transactions including, mortgages, trust letters, closing books and due diligence.
- Coordinate flow of information and of work
- Initiate follow-up as required
- Organize and maintain client files
- Communicate with clients
- Perform administrative duties with respect to accounting, opening and closing files, docketing, billing, etc.
- Access and use online resources (CORES, SPIN & PPR)
- Prepare and/or answer correspondence
- Processing expense reports
- Answer telephone, direct calls, respond to inquiries
- Various other duties may be required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Legal Assistant Diploma
- Minimum 5-7 years legal experience at a Paralegal level.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision and take initiative
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with clients and lawyers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented individual with good proofreading skills
- Able to set own priorities while maintaining flexibility
- Perform clerical, administrative and general office duties
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Availability to work overtime, when necessary
