Banking Law Legal Assistant
Our client, a top tiered downtown Calgary law firm is seeking a banking paralegal with extensive lending experience to work with its busy team that provides legal advice on a comprehensive range of business issues.
Core Responsibilities:
•Complete secured lending documents
•Draft banking and financial documents
•Communication with clients and financial institutions – both verbal and written
•Schedule appointments on behalf of Associate
•Opening and closing files as required
•Ability to assist with files from start to finish
•Maintain accurate records and data within client files
•Update Associate with any and all changes to client files
•Respond to client inquiries in a timely, professional and confidential manner
Requirements:
•Minimum of 3 years experience as a Banking Law Legal Assistant
•Possess a Legal Assistant Diploma
•Highly organized with strong time management skills. Also required in this position is the ability to set priorities in a fast paced environment.
•Strong Banking/Finance background is an asset.
•Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate is also considered an asset but not required.
•Flexible with the ability to adapt to rapid changes.
•Ability to problem solve and provide real time solutions.
