Chief Financial Officer (Edmonton)

Our client, a leading Canadian-based financial services organization, provides financial transaction services to individuals and companies around the world. Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer will play an instrumental role in the organization’s next stage of growth.
In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:
Develop and deploy profit and loss and other financial planning models that guide, support and determine current and future business opportunities and direction.
Reporting of key financial data and results.
Directing disciplined budget planning, analysis and forecasting across regional, department, as well as national and international locations/practice groups as required in support of the business planning process.
Plan and direct all aspects of financial planning and administrative functions.
Work with operations to develop and deliver revenue budgets and expectations on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis.
Develop and oversee the corporate financial functions, ensuring the sales, marketing and business development teams are organized to achieve maximum sales growth and volume.
Coordinate the specific objectives of the financial business plan with key internal and external stakeholders.
Analyze and support capital markets transactions.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or relevant field; an MBA would be an asset
Chartered Accountant (CA) or other relevant designation
At least 5 years experience in senior-level financial role
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in multi
national financial planning and reporting
Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management
In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting, tax, HR, treasury
Strong leadership and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
