25 Bed Hospital in Northwest Montana is seeking a
Operating Room Manager, Full-time Regular (M-F, with call), Exempt
Essential Duties: Acts as a resource to staff members and recognizes and deals appropriately with patient care issues. Constructively resolves conflicts utilizing win-win negotiations. Effectively communicates and interacts with peers and staff throughout the organization. Effectively leads staff & related providers through change. Consistently demonstrates concerns & actions related to enhancing the entire organizations financial viability. Implements and shares with others innovative programs which enhance patient experiences and improve patient care outcomes. Responds to emergency situations and initiates appropriate responses as necessary. Remains calm and continues to provide leadership and a sense of professionalism during emergency situations. Ensures competency of new employees. Assures adequate fiscally & clinically responsible daily staffing. Assures department meets its productivity benchmark. Supervises and evaluates staff through observation of staff performance and offers suggestions for improvement. Performs yearly evaluations. Conducts coaching and counseling sessions with employees following hospital policies and guidelines. Participates in learning and educational activities to advance own level of professional and leadership skills. Identifies learning need/opportunities of staff and addresses the need. Identifies, supports and implements cross training of staff in collaboration with other directors and the education department. Assures optimal communication with staff and sharing of information and communication with the VPNS. Is a role model to staff. Develops the capitol and operating budgets for the department. Reviews department policies annually and formulates new policies as indicated. Works with others to ensure accountability for nursing standards, evidence based practice, and regulations. Is responsible for MT State readiness of the department at all times. Facilitates & develops department goals. Actively and constructively represents the department on committees and task forces as needed. Functions as CNO when requested. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
Experience: Progressive clinical and nursing management/executive practice experience with 3-5 years at the director level of an OR. License/Certification: •Current RN license in the state of Montana or multi-compact state RN license Other required abilities: •Advanced computer skills including data management, word and excel functions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience in project, program development and implementation required. Constructive, collaborative and positive approach to challenges required
Salary $76,000-$106,000
Relocation-Negotiable
