BOOKKEEPER (Calgary, Alberta)

Comre Construction, located in Calgary, Alberta, is looking for an individual to fill the position of Bookkeeper. This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours a week. The successful candidate will earn a salary of $17.95 per hour, plus overtime if applicable.
Duties Required:
Using computerized and manual accounting systems, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining general ledgers and financial statements, posting journal entries, preparing trial balance of books, reconciling accounts, calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, preparing other statistical, financial and accounting reports, controlling inventory, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, preparing tax returns.
Specific/Essential Skills:
The successful candidate must possess a college diploma in bookkeeping or university degree in Accounting or related discipline and a minimum of 2 years prior bookkeeping/accounting experience.
Must be able to speak, read and write English; the ability to communicate in Spanish is an asset. Must be experienced with windows, electronic mail, electronic scheduler, word processing software, excel, accounting software such as Simply Accounting and/or Quick Books, database software, presentation software, internet and general office equipment.
