Highwood Community Playschool is seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic and innovative teacher to lead our 3-year-old and 4-year-old classes beginning mid-February, 2010. This is a part-time temporary contract ending in June with the possibility of renewal in the fall. Together with our Parent Advisory Committee, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized and individualized learning experiences for our students. Our intimate, community - based playschool is a Reggio Emilia inspired 'learning through play' program that celebrates the uniqueness and creativity of every child. The program runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 11:15/11:30 am.

Interested Candidates must have:
- A Child Development Supervisor Certificate (Formerly Level 3) or a Bachelors of Education and/or equivalent experience/education
- Current First Aid, Adult
- Child CPR Certification
- Police Clearance
- Documentation of schooling including any transcripts
