Essential Job Functions
• Complete regular patrols of property to observe and report activities on site.
• Carry out work according to specific instructions and set procedures.
• Respond to site emergencies (alarms, medical, and disturbances).
• Monitor cameras and alarm systems.
• Minimize risk to the client’s property and assets.
• Control access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
• Complete various logs and reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Skills to deal with challenges and communicate effectively.
• Must be physically able to walk 18 – 20 km/day.
• Available to work weekends.
• Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain proper records.
• Ability to make quick decisions in emergency response situations with minimal supervision.
• Carry out written and verbal instructions.
• Valid class 5 drivers’ license and security license are considered assets.
• Ability to handle private information with a high amount of discretion.
• Must be bondable.
• Basic knowledge of security procedures, handling violent behaviors, and non-defensive communication.
• High School Diploma.
• Must be 18 years of age.
