Web Application Developer (Calgary)

Alta Industrial Automation Ltd. is looking for a Web Application Developer for a three (3) month Project Position in our Calgary office.
Responsibilities include:
• Development of technical specifications for web applications
• Developing web applications
• Setting up and configuring website or web application infrastructure
• Developing online database specifications and application
• Execution of various quality control procedures
• Technical troubleshooting and providing technical support
• Execute various technical procedures for web application deployment
Applicants should be well rounded, result-oriented self-manager capable of effectively working independently as well as working cohesively with a team. The ideal candidate needs to demonstrate effective problem solving and follow through and have performed responsibilities in a thorough manner in previous work experience.
Experience in communicating technical requirements and deliverables with managers or end clients is an asset.
Education and Experience
• Experience with frontend website or web application development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, cross-browser compatibility) required.
• Familiar with setting up and working with website or web application infrastructure (domain, hosting, DNS, SQL DBs, Linux, Apache) required
• Experience in web programming technologies and environments: Java, SQL, Apache and versioning systems preferred
• 2 - 5 Years professional experience in web development preferred
