Our client is a respected and leading international provider of specialized instrumentation systems. They are looking for a talented and passionate user experience designer to play a vital role in shaping the future of product development at the company. An expert in user-centered design and usability, this person should be able to suggest best-practices, conduct research and document user personas, and have experience designing prototypes and validating designs with thorough user testing.
Responsibilities:
• Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of web, desktop, touch screen, embedded, and smart phone software applications.
• Validate, for the intended audience, that the solution is useful, usable, desirable, valuable, accessible, credible, and cost-effective.
• Balance users' needs with budgets, established practices, process, and timelines, always acting as the users' advocate while respecting resource limitations.
• Work closely with the field operations and sales teams to engage the customer and gain insight into their business objectives and workflows.
Requirements:
• A four-year post-secondary degree in HCI, Design, Computer Science, Technical Communication, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• A portfolio demonstrating a strong understanding of communication, design, usability, and user experience concepts.
• Experience implementing programs with application, web, and hardware-based interfaces.
