Busy Self Storage facility located in SE Calgary requires a part-time Customer Service Representative (CSR).

Job Description

Working Hours: 8 - 15 hours a week

Summary:

The Self Storage Customer Service Representative is an energetic, professional, outgoing individual who has excellent sales, team player and customer service skills. He/she aggressively contributes to profitability by maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships and being committed to customer satisfaction. The CSR pays close attention to detail and has light bookkeeping and computer skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for sales, keeping the facility rented at optimum levels effectively utilizing promotional and customer relation skills as approved by management.

Rent space, actively sells and maintains supplies of merchandise. Provides outstanding customer service including assessing and resolving customer problems and professionally handling telephone and walk-in inquiries. Visually inspects the facility daily, observe and respond promptly to any situation.

Additional responsibilities of the storage facility may include but not limited to opening and closing the office on time each day. Maintains all required tenant documentation in a neat and orderly manor as directed by management. Maintaining accuracy of the petty cash, preparing daily reports as required by management. Assist in preparing delinquent units to be vacated as prescribed by law and approved by management.

Maintains a neat, clean, safe and secure facility including minor maintenance and daily lock checks. Notifies their management of any maintenance items that require attention in a timely manner.

Effectively communicates with management and fellow employees. Reports directly to Operations Manager.

Work skills:
Basic computer operation in windows including experience using a self storage software application. Understanding of an automated gate system.

Experience:
Prior self storage experience preferred. Office skills, communication, familiar with office machines. Sales skills preferred. Cash handling and telephone skills.

Qualifications:
Good organizational skills and basic bookkeeping. Basic knowledge of self storage industry law. Successful record of accomplishment of sales and marketing skills, preferably in the self storage industry. Type min of 30 - 35 wpm. General office machines. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Employment is also subject to the satisfactory results of a background check.

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands:
Seating for approximately six hours per day, light lifting.

Work Environment:
Professional, business setting.

Remuneration: $12.00 - 15.00 / hour
