Green Learning Foundation needs a new home and we need to raise $6 million dollars! If that doesn't scare you, then this might be the right job for you.
Green Learning is a growing non-profit private school in Calgary and are looking for a part time to full time hard working and dedicated Fundraising Coordinator to help us build a school. Not any school, but a remarkable school! We teach children to make choices, take responsibility, be accountable, make mistakes and experience success, self confidence, knowledge learning the way they learn best! We are a school for future entrepreneurs.
Green Learning is looking for someone special. If you are driven by money, then this is probably not the job for you. This is a start up position that needs to be on fire! The hours depend on you and what you can achieve, if you want full time and are willing to work for it, then we are happy to see you everyday. The starting wage will be $15/hr and can go up, but that will depend on you and your drive to make it happen.
You will have expectations, and the work will be hard, but the reward of being there at the start of something that is going to grow insurmountably will be especially fulfilling. When you walk down the halls of your new school, because of you, your help, effort and determination; that is when you will benefit from monetary rewards. You will also have fun and be apart of a great community of staff, teachers, parents and children.
Our Fundraising Coordinator must be friendly, a self starter, very professional, motivated with strong phone etiquette skills. A positive and energetic attitude, exceptional work ethic and a strong desire to meet goals and commitments is also required. You must also have a strong command of the written and spoken English language.
If you have the ability to independently initiate projects, and produce funds you will also have the ability to develop this position.

Job Responsibilities - Your Serious Work
Generate new ideas and business opportunities to increase fundraising and fund development to meet and exceed revenue goals. Establish an ongoing fundraising program to support the work of Green Learning Foundation.
Develop an annual fundraising plan and budget. Develop revenue and expense reports for all fundraiser events after the event is completed.
Take the full responsibility to lead in initiating, planning, and implementing all necessary activities, in a timely manner, to ensure that program goals and objectives are accomplished.
Represent Green Learning at community meetings, outreach events, radio/TV shows, and other community settings as required. (Some weekends and evenings required)
Prepare grants/ project proposals and progress reports as required by program contract and agreements.
Search and research potential donors, vendors and foundations to identify and evaluate potential funding sources. Make initial contacts, and follow-through of securing available funding and the coordination of all optional funding opportunities.

Knowledge and Education
Charity Graduate Certificates as offered by Mount Royal University or equivalent is required due to the particular demands and expectations of the Federal and Provincial governments regarding non-profits.
Computer skills, design software and MAC experience required. Sales skills and customer service experience would be an asset.
