Network Consultant - Bermuda
Bermuda offers a sophisticated offshore business environment combined with a subtropical Island based lifestyle and low taxes. within a 2.5 hr flight from Toronto!
Our client is one of Bermuda's premier consulting firms specializing in the entire field of network and communications services. On their behalf, we are seeking a qualified candidate to join their consulting team in Bermuda as a Network Consultant.
Working in a customer-facing, consultative capacity, responsibilities will include:
. Participating in strategic consultations, solutions architecture and assuring recommendations can be implemented in a timely and fiscal manner
. Performing analysis and developing client deliverables appropriate to the specific consulting engagement
. Researching, analyzing and preparing written reports and recommendations
. Identifying business opportunities and sales leads, which may come from meetings with clients, other consultants, Account Managers, vendors etc
. Assisting in writing and presenting proposals to prospective clients
We are looking for as much as possible of the following in a preferred candidate:
. Minimum of 5 years as a IT consultant, with a focus on Microsoft solutions, IT Security, Network Infrastructure, SAN Technologies and CISCO UCS
. Relevant industry certifications in as many as possible of Microsoft Server Solutions, VMWare, Cisco, HP and Compellent solutions (e.g. MCITP, VCP, CCIP)
. Extensive experience with file server deployment, centralized management and desktop management
. Strong knowledge of server and storage solutions (including servers, storage, data centre networking, security, architecture assessments, planning and implementation)
. Demonstrated knowledge related to the design, implementation and maintenance of server and desktop virtualization solutions (VMWare, Hyper-V, VDI and XenApp)
. Demonstrated strong technical knowledge related to design, implementation and maintenance of the latest releases of MS server solutions (Exchange 2007/10, Server 2008/10, Active Directory, Group Policies).
. Strong technical knowledge related to design, implementation and maintenance of data center network infrastructure (FC, FCoE, iSCSI etc.), preferably Cisco MDS or Nexus
. Proven experience with designing and installing of at least two of the following blade server and SAN technologies; HP, Compellent, 3Par and Net App
. Prior IT security and firewall design/implementation experience (such as Check Point, Cisco, Stonesoft) would be an asset
You should be comfortable working in a client-facing capacity and have proven project management related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
This position involves relocating to beautiful Bermuda for an initial term of 3 years. Due to the international move required, candidates should be highly portable and adaptable, with outside interests that lend themselves to this idyllic living environment.
Compensation offered is very competitive and nearly tax free (only 5.25% payroll tax)! Relocation assistance and health insurance contributions will be offered to the successful candidate.
