My client is a well-established IT Consulting Company, situated in Calgary, AB. They are looking for a Sr. Project Manager (Data Center/PMP/ITIL). This is a 1 year contract with the possibility of extension.
Job Overview:
3 Agency Contractor Project Managers are required. One to manage an Exchange rollout, one to manage small Office relocations and opening of new offices, and one to co-manage the Chicago Data Center build out.
Job Responsibilities:
• Leads customer engagement to ensure that it meets all scope, time, budget and quality expectations, through planning, controlling and managing customer projects.
• Manages corporate, customer and third party vendor efforts to plan, sell and implement solutions to customer problems.
• Responsible for business as well as team management.
• Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories, or techniques.
• Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
• Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful.
• Provides highly innovated solutions.
• Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives.
• Develops strategy and leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects the affect the organizations long-term goals and objectives.
• May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams.
Skills/Requirements:
• PMP and ITIL preferred
• May be required to travel 25% of the time
• Minimum 10 years of IT Experience
• Minimum 5 years of IT Project Management Experience
• Suburb Client facing and communication skils
• Solid experience project managing world wide virtual teams who are highly leveraged
Qualifications:
• First Level University degree.
• Advanced University degree preferred.
• 10+ years in like in project management roles or in like roles/businesses.
• Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of key Services' operational policies, processes and methodologies applicable to project management.
• Has an extensive understanding of critical project management techniques.
• PMP Certified.
