Position Summary:

Cloudwerx Data Solutions Inc. is looking for an IT Systems Engineer to join our leading customer service team. The IT Systems Engineer will provide world class IT services and Data Center hosting services for a variety of clients and customers. The chosen candidate will manage data center operations from design, implementation and support and provide senior technical resources for Cloudwerx technical staff.

Essential Functions:

• Support and implement current and future Data Center products and systems
• Implement and maintain all servers, network, SAN, hardware
• Implement and maintain all monitoring systems and alerting systems
• Implement and maintain documentation and diagrams for the data center, including network diagrams, cable diagrams, support documentation, etc.
• Maintain the Data Center's ability to meet current SLA's
• Test and validate all failover mechanisms, to ensure SLA's are met
• Generate reports on system health, availability, uptime, patch level, etc.
• Implement and support Client solutions (hosted or local) including, but not limited to:
• Cisco Networks (Firewall, Routers, Switches, Access points, etc.)
• Windows Servers (Active Directory, exchange, etc.)
• Linux and UNIX systems
• Citrix Servers (Xenapp, Access Gateway)
• VMWare
• All hardware that is installed in the data centers
• Manage new projects, which may include new client installs, existing client upgrades, data center enhancements, etc.
• Maintain and adhere to a Change Management Policy in the Data Center for all customer impacting changes
• Provide 3rd level senior technical resources for all of Cloudwerx products and services
• Provide training to 1st and 2nd level technical resources on data center configuration, setup, policies and procedures
• Provide documentation suited for all technical resources in regards to the operations of the Data Center (Data Center Operations Guide)
• Continuous research and development of the latest technology products that best suit client's current and future needs
• Provide senior IT consultation services for other departments within QHR and clients on an as needed basis
• Other duties may be assigned, directed or requested

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 -- 7 years IT experience in IT Infrastructure
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows Server systems, Cisco Networks, Citrix environments, VMWare Virtualization, SAN hardware, etc.
• Understanding of SLA's
• Understanding and adherence to Change Management Processes
• Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Experience in healthcare IT is considered an asset
• Must be a team player and committed to excellence
• Valid driver's license
