Commercial Security Consultant (Vancouver)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the immediate supervision of the Director Commercial Sales Development, this position is responsible for selling security systems and the development of a commercial customer base.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Conduct effective sale presentations to potential customers;
• Employ company selling techniques to foster relationship with customers, sell the need for a security system, counteract objections, and effectively answer questions;
• Analyze customer specific needs;
• Explain security system operation and capabilities;
• Prepare contract using Reliance Protectron approved pricing and policies;
• Foster existing customers loyalty by contacting them in a timely fashion;
• Constantly seek new customers within appropriate sectors and when opportunities present themselves.
• Set and meet development objectives;
• Participate in the company's promotional events;
• Complete the various sales forms as per the company's policies and procedures;
• Forward the sale documents to the administrative clerks within the agreed timeframe;
• Quickly answer customers' requests and direct them to the appropriate department;
• Regularly communicate activities to the Sales Manager;
• Maintain knowledge of security products and market current;
• Perform any other tasks related to the position or assigned by the immediate supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:
• Completed high school diploma;
• Own a vehicle and posses a valid driver's licence;
• Experience in a similar role is required, however, any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
SPECIFIC SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Market development;
• Technical knowledge of security equipment;
• Strong customer service focus;
• Articulated, diplomatic and professional;
• Autonomy
• Sense of responsibility
• Knowledge of the MS Office Suite
• Direct selling techniques
• Perseverance
• Ability to work under pressure
• Proven ability to effectively close sales
• Ability to respect confidentiality
