Windows 7 Deployment Technician (Calgary, AB)

The successful candidate will be flexible and adaptable and is responsible for the deployment of Windows 7 Desktops and Laptops as part of an enterprise wide deployment of Windows 7 and Office 2010.
Responsibilities
The Deployment Technician has responsibilities in project teams, communications and delivery
Work with existing Technical Deployment Lead to understand the requirements and vision for overall workstation deployment
Work with Technical Deployment Lead to understand and assist with the long term resolution of incidents/issues.
Perform basic analysis work to highlight risks and issues
Document and escalate incidents/issues to the Technical Deployment Lead where required
Deploy Windows 7 Operating system to end-user machines as part of a deployment schedule
Support and resolves problems related to installed computer hardware
Document user, hardware and software requirements for each workstation being deployed.
Liaise with Build Support team on all issues/problems
Skills
Experience deploying desktop machines in an enterprise setting (1-2 years - Mandatory)
Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written - Mandatory)
Strong Work Ethic (Mandatory)
Experience working as part of a deploy team (1-2 years - Preferred)
Windows 7 experience in a professional setting (1-2 years - Preferred)
Previous Desktop or Senior Helpdesk experience
Able to work regular evening shift (the deploys are schedule to occur after normal working hours)
Able/willing to work weekends (if required and with notice)
Able/willing to travel to Northern Alberta and Northern British Columbia
Able/willing to travel to USA (if required)
Start Date: October 2011
End Date: February 2012
Rate: Dependent on experience
