Ogden 50+ (www.ogden50plus.org) is hiring a Program Coordinator. The Coordinator works with the Administrator to ensure that the daily activities of the centre are supported, markets the activities to a wide audience and assists with volunteer recruitment. S/he also works closely with other staff to ensure that programs/services stay within budget, reflect the changing needs of seniors and connect the centre to the larger community.

Responsibilities
• Oversee all aspects related to programs (classes, drop-in activities, etc.) and services (clinics, workshops, etc.) including instructor recruitment and participant registration.
• Marketing of programs/services to membership and the broader community, including the creation/distribution of monthly newsletter.
• Recruit and supervise volunteers to assist with office management and program/service delivery.
• Coordinate office systems and provide support to other staff, volunteers and board members as required.
• Ensure that facility rental procedures are followed and updated when needed.

Knowledge/Skills Required
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Energetic personality with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize within a larger structure.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in isolation or with a diverse team as required.
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office Suite, Simply Accounting and social media systems (e.g. Facebook).
• Evidence of sensitivity and respect for individuals regardless of age, culture and/or socio-economic status.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes in policy environment and situation.

This is a 30 hour/week daytime position (occasional evening/weekend hours, just like any nonprofit) and compensation starts at $16.00/hour with partial benefits (medical, dental, RRSPs) after a successfully completed probation period.
