Welltec is a multi-service Oil and Gas service provider. Our Calgary base has an immediate opening for several aspiring Wireline Operators. We will help you develop the skills you need to grow within the company. As a Wireline Operator you are key contributor to the success of the Welltec team. We deliver work of the highest quality day in and day out because of the outstanding efforts everyone puts in.
Duties:
- Driving wireline unit to/back from siteFollowing all Welltec QHSE policies
- Extensive travel involved with this position
- Handling oilfield equipment
- Conducting equipment checks
- Servicing of down-hole tools and auxiliary equipment
- Rig up/down at site
- Cleaning and maintenance of Wireline trucks, shop vehicles, and shop
- Great customer service
- Completing all paperwork in a timely manner
- On-going learning for future advancement!
Qualifications:
- Physically fit to handle lifting oilfield equipment
- Valid Oilfield Tickets: H2S, TDG, 1st Aid & CPR, WHMIS, PST (asset, but we will send you for the tickets you need)
- Class 1 or 3Q Drivers License (Class 5 applicants may be considered)
- Have a clean Driver's Abstract (6 demerits or less)
- Successfully pass both a Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Screen and Physical Assessment
- Able to work away from home for extended periods of time (15/6 schedule)
- Willing to work outside in all kinds of weather conditions
- High school education or above
- Having a mechanical aptitude will be a definite asset to your success
- Ability to work under pressure

15/6 schedule
24 hours on call during "days on"
Significant Total Compensation Package:
Base salary, field bonus, Employer paid health benefits, Welltec matching RRSP (limits apply), cell phone allowance, safety boot & food allowance, PPE provided.
