We are currently looking for an Investment Sales professional to be part of our National Sales team. This team provides comprehensive wealth management sales support to our strategic partners, platform dealers, as well as, independent advisors including a comprehensive suite of investment funds solutions, under the Oceanrock Investments umbrella. We also offer the Qtrade Investor on-line brokerage platform which has been consistently ranked as one of the leading solutions in Canada.
As a dynamic leader in the organization, the successful candidate's primary mandate will be to generate and support sales for the Oceanrock investment funds complex and Qtrade Investor Online Brokerage, within our distribution network. Success will be measured through a combination of excellent relationship and sales skills, a passion for success and tenacity.
Responsibilities:
• Accountable for assisting partner institutions in generating and supporting investment sales and managing the sales cycle at a high-level from prospecting, application and ongoing sales support;
• Develop and execute an effective territory plan to meet agreed-upon sales targets, consistent with our overall business strategies;
• Train and educate credit union partners on the investment sales process and basic product details;
• Establish and build relationships with advisors and partners, as well as through the independent channel, to provide appropriate investment strategies as part of a client's overall financial plan;
• Facilitate sales training and practice management programs in support of partner financial institutions' wealth management strategic initiatives;
• Prepare and deliver presentations to partners that improve their ability to sell investment products;
• Coach and mentor inside sales representatives to achieve a mutually beneficial sales outcome;
• Organize and promote special events, and reward and recognition programs; and
• Manage expenses within an approved budget.
Qualifications:
• Must have a minimum of 10+ years experience in the Canadian investment funds industry, predominantly within a senior sales role;
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics or General Management;
• CFA, CFP or CIM/FCSI designations preferred;
• Proven track record of proactive sales results and growth in territory;
• Strong territory and time management skills;
• Familiarity with socially responsible investments will be considered an asset;
• High degree of knowledge and experience with mutual fund products and services;
• Strong technical and problem solving skills related to the investment, tax, and legal issues associated with investment products;
• Capable of integrating knowledge into solutions that meet the needs of our partners' clients, while helping the advisor to develop strategies that allow them to capitalize on these opportunities;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on presentation skills; and
• Ability to travel extensively within territory of responsibility.
