Head Lifeguards, Guards and Swim Instructors (SE Calgary)

We have immediate openings for all pool positions? Our programs are growing and we have a number of openings to fill if you enjoy working with people, teaching, learning and the opportunity to work in a fun team oriented environment. We have hours if you want to work and benefits for full-time hours as well.
Trico Centre is seeking dynamic, outgoing and energetic people for their aquatics team. If you are at least 16 years of age and are looking for work hours and a great part-time position we have opportunities for you. Our positions require a willingness to take on a range of tasks including; working a flexible shift schedule based on availability (days, evenings and weekends), dealing with the public, guarding, instructing, and handling the requirements of the job in a professional and friendly manner.
Responsibilities:
• Maintains pool safety standards in a busy wave pool environment
• Implements facility wide and pool first aid procedures when required
• Maintains a high level of pool and deck cleanliness
• Lifeguards and provides related duties
• Plans, instructs and evaluates swim programs
• Liaises with parents and children on instruction progress
• Delivers strong customer service to patrons
• Provides a safe and fun learning environment for swimmers
• Delivers strong customer service skills
• Shows a positive and professional attitude
Qualifications:
• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule (days, evenings and weekends)
• National Lifeguarding (NLS) Certification
• First Aid/CPR "C" Certification
• AED certification is an asset
• Swim for Life Instructor certification (LSI)
• Basic Police Security Clearance

• Excellent communication skills
• Friendly and enjoys working with people of all ages
