We are looking for a passionate Senior Interior Designer to join our team. This position will begin on contract for one year and may become a full time position.
Job Description:
Design/Specifications:
• Collaborate with Creative Director/team to produce concept renderings for proposal
• Preparation of construction drawing packages, including floor plans, finishes plans, reflected ceiling plans, electrical plans, interior elevations, millwork sections and details which comply with BC Building Code
• Specification of all finishes and fixtures
• Specify all furnishings/accessories
• Meet with clients/trades/architects to liaison/project manage during construction/furnishing installation
Team Mentorship:
• Monitor team workflow and collaborate with Director to increase productivity and creativity.
• Inspire and mentor team members with technical expertise
Qualifications:
• Degree or equivalent in Interior Design
• 5 years experience in residential design
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCad LT 2004-11
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word.
• Strong knowledge of the BC Building Code
• Excellent knowledge of residential construction
• Leadership skills; desire to mentor
• Ability to multi-task many different projects
