Job Description:
Cummins Western Canada has an immediate opening for two shipper/receivers in Calgary. Reporting to the Parts Manager, the position will be primarily responsible for safely receiving incoming freight, unloading trucks, checking of parts, stocking of parts and organizing outgoing freight. The main task is to support the new warehouse activities in Calgary. Other responsibilities include:
• Ensuring that quantities received match packing slips
• Identifying parts which are for back orders and which are for regular stock
• Putting stock away in appropriate locations
• Properly packaging all outgoing freight
• Keeping accurate shipping records
• Processing custom papers for all international shipments
• Submitting damage freight claims when required
• Ensuring fork-lifts are kept in safe working order
• Help support sales projects by loading and unloading project engines and generators
• Order picking and shop order picking support
• Customer pick up attendance
• New facility move activities and yard expansion activities
Requirements:
• Well organized and ability to multi-task
• Basic computer knowledge
• Must be a self-starter and be highly motivated
• Previous fork-lift, shipping, receiving and parts experience an asset
