SAP Specialist and Trainer (Calgary, AB)

Coordinates application support and technical issues for Supply Chain SAP Systems and associated interface applications. Exercises independent judgment, analyzes and resolves operational and technical problems, taking corrective action in performing assigned tasks. Maintains active communication with the application user community, BI&T and third party automation interface. Assists in identifying application improvement (enhancements and errors) and training requirements. No direct supervisory responsibility but takes part in the day-to-day guidance and training Supply Chain resources in Canada.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze and assess Supply Chain SAP end-users training and performance support needs
• Analyze and define Supply Chain SAP end-user needs and recommend actions/solutions
• Coordinate SAP installations and upgrades with Supply Chain team members and B&IT
• Coordinate SAP service requests to meet Supply Chain department's needs within established SLA standards
• Deliver SAP training and provide end-user SAP system support/coaching
• Design and develop SAP training and performance support materials
• Develop technical policies and procedures regarding Supply Chain SAP activities
• Develop training deployment plans and delivery schedules
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Supply Chain and with BI&T
• Identify and resolve SAP system software and interface problems
• Provide technical support to Supply Chain department in connection to the SAP system
• Test, evaluate, and recommend selections of standard SAP components for Supply Chain
• Update and maintain training and performance support material in conjunction with system or process changes
• Work on all SAP installation and upgrade projects; lead Supply Chain's strategic SAP planning
EDUCATION
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Services, or related field
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• 3+ year experience with ERP systems
• 2+ years experience with SAP software and systems configuration
• 1+ years experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, inventory control, and/or supply chain management with increasing responsibilities in various management roles
• Experience in Oil & Gas industry preferred
