AS/400 Systems Administrator – Bermuda

We are searching for an experienced IBM iSeries (AS/400) Systems Administrator on behalf of our client, one of the largest financial services organizations in Bermuda. This is a full-time/staff based position in Bermuda.

Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to: * Providing hardware and software support for mission critical systems in a 24×7 production environment * System installations, performance monitoring, capacity planning, configuration management, and troubleshooting * Proactively maintain system integrity, supporting change management, system backup and disaster recovery, problem management, peripheral connectivity and release distribution * Evaluate, install and configure system administration support tools and third-party application software * Write CL scripts to automate various system administration tasks * Complete and maintain documentation related to software and system configuration

We are seeking as much as possible of the following in a preferred candidate: * 5+ years iSeries (AS/400) systems administration experience in a banking or financial services environment * Extensive DB2 experience * Prior exposure to Fiserv Signature core banking systems is preferred * Prior experience with LPAR Management, Backups, Performance / Work Management, PTF and Operating System maintenance/upgrades * University/College degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent * IBM Certified iSeries Systems Administrator would be an asset * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively to senior management, technical and end user personnel
