Jayine Consulting Inc. is a Canadian owned and operated organization of experienced information technology and business professionals, who provide resources to help clients define, develop and implement successful IT solutions through contract and permanent placements.
A major Energy company located in Calgary, Alberta, has asked Jayine Consulting the services of a contractor to work as a Project Manager in its ICD Program.
Responsibilities will include:
• Overall management and responsibility for custom software development projects related to the Mainframe Retirement Program, including project planning, estimating, execution, status reporting, resource management, risk and issue mitigation, stakeholder management and project close-out. Company’s standard Software Development Methodology, Rational Unified Process (RUP), is used for development projects.
• Working with the Program Manager of ICD Program to determine strategy, approach, staffing requirements, risk assessment, and issue resolution.
• Act as lead/mentor for members of the team.
The position will report directly to the Program Manager of ICD Program.
The specific requirements are included as part of the ‘Resource Qualification Sheet’ (see attached).

Expected End Date: June 21, 2011
Project Description:
The Information Collection and Dissemination (ICD) Program supports the ICD Business Unit in the collection, management and dissemination of information mandated through legislation. The ICD Program is undertaking multiple custom software development projects with a heavy focus on the migration of legacy mainframe-based applications to the ERCB’s new technology stack. In addition to the mainframe retirement initiative, the ICD Program will be developing new Core application solutions.
