Heavy Industries (www.heavyworld.com) is looking for an estimator to compile accurate estimates for one-of-a-kind art and architectural projects. YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR generating accurate, timely, and fair estimates for every project Heavy takes on. You'll need to make sure all the bases are covered and every detail of a project has been considered to ensure our clients can trust our prices and we can put our best foot forward on every opportunity.
We realize placing responsibility for the profitability of all future jobs may be a little much for one person, so you'll have a TEAM AT YOUR DISPOSAL to support your accurate estimating:
• You'll need to work closely with the sales team to balance project requirements with client needs.
• You'll also need to work effectively with the pre-production planning and design team to understand every detail of projects to estimate them accurately, right down to the nuts and bolts.
• Further, we anticipate you having a close working relationship with our Purchaser and Project Managers to gain a solid understanding of material costs and sub-contractor abilities as well as communicate project details both directions.
YOU'LL BEST SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:
• Familiarity with construction, architectural, or custom fabrication processes
• Some knowledge of Western Canadian suppliers and potential sub-contractors
• Strong computing skills (Microsoft Suite)
• Solid communications skills
