Empire Custom Homes -- Senior Construction Project Manager
Empire Custom Homes is recognized as one of the elite residential construction companies in the Calgary area. We build both custom homes and spec projects along with undertaking custom renovations, with a focus on quality and workmanship that is second to none. Our projects are located in Calgary's most desirable and established neighbourhoods. We are looking for an experienced senior project manager to assist us in managing our current project load and to help us grow the company to the next level. This position will be reporting to the General Manager.
Required Skills, Tasks & Responsibilities
At least ten years of senior project management and/or site superintendent experience in constructing sophisticated high-end custom residential projects.
. Considerable knowledge and experience with custom homes best practices, materials, documentation and procedures.
. Must consult regularly with architects, engineers, estimators, sales and design coordinators, trades and clients on construction plans, plan revisions and change orders.
. Ability to oversee multiple high-end residential construction projects at one time.
. Ability to properly manage subcontractors and effectively communicate with trades regarding scheduling, quality standards and specifications.
. Conduct periodic work inspections to ensure that Empire standards are met and ability to resolve sub-standard work and/or on-site issues.
. Ability to maintain a construction schedule and associated budgets.
. Proven ability to work in a team-work like fashion with other colleagues, partners and suppliers.
. Ability to interact with clients and effectively communicate construction and job specific knowledge consistently at a high level.
. Advantage to be proficient with Microsoft office programs such as Excel, Outlook and Word. A working knowledge of MS Project would be beneficial.
. Must be proficient at problem solving, be a self-starter and have the ability to handle a high-paced work environment.
. Manage Health and Safety for all sites and ensure strict compliance.
COMPENSATION:
Salary range is commensurate with experience. Empire Custom Homes provides a comprehensive benefits package including either a vehicle allowance or access to a company vehicle. Empire is very progressive with the use of technology and will provide all of the necessary technical tools applicable to this position.
