We are currently looking for dynamic Sales Associates to join our team!
SUMMARY
Sales Associates are responsible for achieving sales targets, providing optimum customer service and embodying the Live Esprit values. Each associate is to maximize productivity through product knowledge, customer service and by assisting in meeting key store initiatives.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE. . .
Customer Service & Sales Generation
Actively demonstrates a willingness to serve the customer (internal and external)
Meets individual sales and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals
Knowledgeable of and able to articulate Esprit Club program to drive membership and achieve individual/store goals
Operations
Follows procedures to ensure that all Point-of-Sale (POS) transactions are processed accurately
Participates in product shipment, receiving, transferring, sensoring, re-pricing, re-tagging, stocking and replenishment according to guidelines
Visual & Merchandising
Maintains all visual and housekeeping standards per directive
Maintain proper Esprit standards of folding, hanging, steaming and sizing
Other
Responsible for creating and maintaining a safe workplace, preventing accidents and reporting all incidents/accidents, unsafe conditions and/or practices immediately
Understands, supports and adheres to all Esprit policies and procedures (i.e.: dress code, time keeping, shopping discounts, etc.)
Fulfills other duties and completes assignments as required
REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and other team members
Results oriented with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
Availability required for a minimum of two (2) weekday opening shifts and open availability for Saturday and/or Sunday for Part-Time
Availability at least 6 days of the week, to be scheduled for a maximum of 5 days from Monday thru Sunday. Minimum of two (2) weekday closing shifts and open availability for both Saturday & Sunday for Full-Time
Previous experience working in a retail environment is preferred
Good verbal & written communication skills
Ability to act on feedback provided to drive results
EMPLOYMENT STATUS
Non-Exempt
Part-Time Sales Associates work no more than 32 hours per week. May be requested to work in excess of 32 hours per week; however, this shall be on an irregular/exceptional basis. Overtime eligibility is in accordance with local employment standard legislation. Esprit does not provide any guarantee of hours for this classification. Hours are scheduled according to the needs of the business. Part-Time Sales Associates may be required to work certain holidays and blackout dates.
Full-Time Sales Associates work between 32-40 hours per week on average. Overtime may be required and management will provide as much notice as possible when this is the case. Overtime eligibility is in accordance with local employment standard legislation. Full-Time Sales Associates must maintain open availability to meet the needs of the business, and may be required to work certain holidays and blackout dates.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The work is performed in a comfortable retail apparel store environment with freedom of movement and occasional use of ladders. Travelling to other stores may be required on occasion.
Moderate physical effort is required and significant walking and standing is required for the majority of each shift. While this position has a low risk of injury, the position requires lifting, pushing, pulling and holding (up to 35 lbs and above with appropriate support) of boxes and store fixtures, as well as, significant focus when completing paperwork, cash management or using the POS.
