About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Controller, and working from the Calgary office, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for:

• Accounts Receivable;
• Preparing and posting general ledger journal entries;
• Processing reports and wire payments via Bank Software;
• Fixed Asset Tracking
• Monthly Reconciliations (Banks, GL Accounts, Inter-Company), and other month end functions;
• Preparing financial statement support schedules and audit schedules;
• Providing support to AP and Time and Attendance functions; and

• Other tasks as assigned.

To be successful in this key role, you must have a strong understanding of accounting principles, and previous experience with a full cycle ERP system (preferably manufacturing experience). Also, you will bring 3-5 years of experience to the table,and your computer skills will include working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, with specific proficiencies in Excel.

In addition to your qualifications, the company is looking for an organized, self starter who can meet tight deadlines, while still providing quality work. You are able to communicate and work effectively and pleasantly with others, and you enjoy exercising your analytical skills.
