Operations Manager - Experience Public Accountant
Position Overview
You are an individual that has demonstrated the ability to take charge of clients and their needs. You should have extensive public accounting experience and achieved a recognized Canadian designation such as CA/CMA/CGA or equivalent years of knowledge, skills and experience.
The position requires the ability to manage operations, provide people leadership, manage positive client relationships and seek opportunities to develop new business for the firm.
You recognize the need to work overtime during peak business cycles when clients needs are high and you have a demonstrated ability to ensure the work of yourself and your team is completed.
Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• You have experience and skills to act as the Operations Manager.
• Provide Leadership to assigned team.
• Willing to provide leadership, develop others and share knowledge and skills.
• End to end Client task mastery with only cursory review of the file including assurance engagements.
• Acts as a near expert with a thorough working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and other regulatory standards.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting along with a track record and personally demonstrated ability to show compliance with standards.
• Completion of all aspects of assigned engagements. (tax planning, financial statements, etc.)
• Problem identification and resolution on more complex issues.
• Prepare or manage an assigned budget for self and team.
• Closely monitor time spent on client transactions for self and Team.
• Business development mindset to identify opportunities to provide additional services to clients and bring these to the attention of the client and the firm.
