This is professional records management work of considerable complexity, implementing the corporate records program for Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in including a records classification and retention system, a retention & disposition program, a vital records program and providing support for the organization's archives. The incumbent coordinates the organization's compliance with and responses to the Access to Information & Privacy Act. This individual also provides advice to business units with respect to the maintenance of their business unit records programs and advice with respect to appropriate storage media (e.g. document imaging, microfilm, or tape). The incumbent is responsible for supporting the organization and preservation of corporate records of legal, research and historical importance within an archival cataloguing structure.

Essentials
• A diploma in Business Administration or a related field;
• Two (2) years of education and/or experience in the design, development and implementation of records management systems; and
• Good knowledge of electronic records-keeping and ECM (Enterprise Content Management) software;
• Extensive knowledge of the methods, techniques and procedures used in the collection, storage and retention of records and documents -- especially subject classification and file room operations;
• Knowledge of workflow and classification schema options and design techniques;
• Knowledge of the principles of records management;
• Ability to develop, maintain and control an effective business unit records management system;
• Knowledge of applicable legislation;
• Ability to lift objects up to 25lbs;
• Effective oral and written communication; and
• Ability to establish and maintain positive professional working relationships.
Assets
• Good working knowledge of Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in social structure, culture and traditional knowledge;
• Good working knowledge of Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in Land Claims Agreements and Constitution.
