Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary : $20.00 Hourly, for 40.00 Hours per week
Overtime : 1.5 times per hour exceeding 40 hrs/wk
Paid Holiday : 10 per year
Annual Vacation : 2 wks per year

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Education : Diploma/ Degree in Hotel Management
Experience : Minimum 5 years
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Languages : Good English, Knowledge of Hindi/Punjabi shall be an asset.
Work Setting : Upcoming Restaurant
Cuisine Specialties : East Indian and Latin American
Food Preparation Specializations: Bakery goods and desserts, Stocks, soups and sauces, Eggs and dairy, Cold kitchen (salads, appetizers, sandwiches), Vegetables, fruits, nuts and mushrooms, Meat, Poultry, Pasta, Fish, Mughalai,
Types of Meals/Food Prepared: Short orders, Breakfasts, Lunches, Dinners, All meals
Specific Duties:
1. Manage kitchen operations
2. Prepare complete meals and individual dishes and foods.
3. Prepare daily Menu.
4. Create recipes for special guests and special occasions.
5. Schedule and supervise general kitchen staff
6. Hire and train kitchen staff.
7. Maintain inventory and record of food supplies and equipment
Specific Skills:
1. Leadership Skills - people development, kitchen management, company policies and procedures, time management, problem solving/decision making and leadership.
2. Personal Skills - initiative, energy level/drive, communication skills, administration skills, adaptability/flexibility, dependability/attendance appearance/grooming
