Primary Objectives:
In this support function, you will use your organizational and customer service skills as the "inside" member of the team to assist Marketing Representatives in their assigned territories. Together, you will be responsible for the growth and profitability of a book of business by providing timely, knowledgeable and professional service to our brokers and reinsurance companies.
Job Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the candidate will liaise with Marketing Representatives, Head Office Underwriting and other departments to ensure the accuracy of documents and adherence to Company underwriting guidelines.
Respond to underwriting requests from Clients including new business and existing accounts.
Assist Marketing Representatives in producing, underwriting, rating and maintaining a profitable portfolio of accounts.
Review existing accounts analytically to improve contract terms and up sell coverage.
Accompany Marketing Representatives on periodic marketing calls and seminars.
Maintain business relationships by providing outstanding customer service promptly and professionally.
Participate in industry functions, conventions, associations; serve in public relations capacity for the Company.
Qualifications and Skills:
University degree or College diploma preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Marketing/sales experience preferred
Strong analytical skills and sharp attention to details
Valid driver's license an asset
Enthusiasm to work collaboratively in an office team environment
Self- starter who is highly motivated and willing to learn
Computer competency
Some work experience in commercial insurance is an asset
