Job Description: New Media Developer (Job Reference # D014)
Primary Duties - Working with our eLearning team, this position will primarily be focused on the development of Flash or HTML based content for online training programs.
Secondary Duties - Website development and maintenance of our corporate site using HTML , CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, following industry best practices and compatibility on various platforms. Work collaboratively with website/marketing team to conceptualize, develop and execute engaging and usable interactive experiences. Advise on best practices and current trends, and come up with creative solutions to deliver marketing initiatives and provide an excellent web presence.
Main Skills
• Flash - understanding all aspects of animating, image use, sound and optimization
• Good design sense - layout, detail, composition
• Illustrator and Photoshop
• Mac and Windows environment.
• Basic HTML and CSS skills
Nice to haves:
• Knowledge of user experience design and information architecture best practices.
• Knowledge of search engine optimization, content management systems, social media integration.
General Competencies:
• Excellent communications skills
• Superb listening skills
• Keen desire to learn from peers and clients
• Well organized
• Work efficiently in a project driven environment
• Passionate in your field and a desire to become an expert
