Seeking: Central Office & DC Power Technicians in Calgary, Alberta

Scope of Duties:

  • Completion of daily maintenance reports
  • Experienced with the following techniques: racking, AFCR, lacing, butting, stripping, terminating, print reading, DMS/NGDLC technology
  • Knowledgeable of different power systems, and basic DC power theory is a MUST
  • Power plant installation experience
  • Experienced with the installation of BDFB’s, batteries, and rectifiers and testing & turn up of each
  • Experience running and lacing DC Power cables
  • Experience running and installation of various types of conduit
  • Experience in DC Power/UPS or a related field is required; Level 1-4 installation

Special Skills or Equipment Required

  • Strong desire to meet project deadlines
  • Self-motivated individual with minimal supervision required
  • Computer experience: Visio, AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel
  • Data cabling experience
  • Willing and able to conduct heavy lifting up to 120lbs
  • Handy with various tools, must have basic technician hand tools
  • Willing and able to work over-time when required
  • MUST have valid drivers license and access to a vehicle

Compensation:

  • Negotiable, based on previous experience
