We’re looking to add a talented, passionate, creative individual to our design department. Someone who works with all the standard Adobe design tools and programs, someone who truly lives & breathes the online world, someone who can just as easily spend a few hours enhancing an existing client’s web site as they can come up with an entire visual identity for a company and carry that through to their web site, social media presence and beyond. Maybe you don’t have years of experience under your belt, but if you can make up for that with a solid understanding of all things digital and enhance that with a genuine burning passion, then you could be the one.

Commerx is a fast-paced environment of talented staff and the person filling this role will need to be able to communicate and collaborate with fellow designers, developers, account managers and our clients. Standard verbiage of “needing to work well with others or independently” definitely applies.

Here’s what you’d be doing:
• Work with Adobe Creative Suite to design. Everything.
• Design for web sites (new or updating), mobile sites, social media, e-newsletters, etc. (full digital spectrum of offerings)
• Branding — logo/identity design, promotional materials, advertising & marketing pieces, presentations, etc.
• Collaborate with Commerx staff to identify, brainstorm and propose client solutions.
• Review client/project scope deliverables and provide time estimates to identified design deliverables.
• Stay fresh and current on emerging trends in the design and online realms and be vocal about how we can incorporate everything new & exciting into what we deliver to our clients.
Bonus points for any of the following:
• User experience design and/or wireframing
• Strong familiarity with designing for social media (Facebook, in particular)
• Any familiarity with code — you won’t be expected to actually crank out HTML or CSS or JavaScript, but the more you know about what’s possible in code, the better your designs can be implemented by our developers
