Experience is essential as this is a sole-charge position, including all aspects of care for the girls including dressing, cooking, bathing, taking my daughter to and from nursery and other scheduled activities, and organising outings and playdates. The role would also involve light housekeeping (laundry, ironing, maintaining a clean environment for the girls etc).

Service Specialists deliver our EcoSensitive Pest Prevention services to our commercial clients in their assigned route which may cover a 2 hour drive time radius from home
Service Specialists work from home and set their own schedule within their assigned shift
Perform daily route travel to client facilities

Conduct regular inspections of client facilities
This is a Day Shift position, but may include some Night Shifts or Weekend on-call work

Position Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
Stable work history – No more than three (3) jobs in the last five (5) years
A valid driver’s license and good driving record, no major violations and no more than 3 minor violations in the past 3 years
Must be able to work required hours – early morning
Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting 40lbs chest high, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, balancing, walking and standing
Must pass pre-employment Background Check and pre-employment and random Drug Tests
Computer skills – Basic knowledge required

Desired Skills and Experience
At least two (2) years work experience in a service environment
Previous experience working independently and with little supervision

Labourer I

This is a unionized position with the United Association of journeymen and apprentices of Plumbing and Pipe Fitting industry of the United States and Canada, Local 496.

Reporting to the Manager, Facility Maintenance and under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Labourer 1 carries out basic maintenance and construction tasks including the operation of small powered equipment. The position frequently assists other trades and works under their direct supervision.

Responsibilities:
• Carries out basic maintenance and construction labouring tasks as a part of the overall maintenance team
• Assists other trades as assigned
• Operates small power equipment as necessary to complete assigned tasks
• Ensures that tools and equipment used are kept in good working order and the workplace is kept in a safe, clean and organized condition
• Supports the aims and objectives and protect the image of the Calgary Zoo
• Complies with the Zoo’s health and safety program
• Other related duties as required

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year experience in related construction field
• Must be a team player
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
• Customer service orientated
• Valid 5th Class Alberta Drivers license with maximum of 6 demerits
• Valid Standard First Aid would be an asset
